Home sweet Home

Usually this time of the year, Maine has some snow on the ground, but this year that isn’t the case.  Yesterday it reached 50 degrees!  As much as we enjoy a white Christmas, we don’t miss shoveling, scraping windshields and the bad driving conditions winter brings.

Maine’s economy depends greatly on its tourist industry and winter is no exception.  Fortunately, our northern neighbors will most likely have all the snow needed for the die-hard snowmobilers that won’t hesitate to travel 8-10 hours to ride over 200 miles a weekend.  The ski resorts have been open since Thanksgiving and look forward to a successful season.

Many of us will make the annual trek to visit relatives for the holidays with a car load of kids, gifts and suitcases.  Whether you fly to a warmer destination, travel to visit with family or stay home for the holiday season, there isn’t anything better than when you arrive home or when the last guest leaves.  All of the stress that built up prior to that moment seems to just melt away.

Being a custom home builder is such a rewarding experience.  Seeing the customer’s dreams become reality is very satisfying especially when everything comes together the way it should.
